I received an email from the BlogCatalog team informing me about this wonderful new widget. It is called the News Feed. I think it is better to inform you about it by their own words. Here is an extract from that email.

The BlogCatalog team is excited to announce to you the launch of our newest widget, the News Feed. A widget that many bloggers are calling the most useful, innovative widget that BlogCatalog has launched so far.

How will you benefit from the News Feed widget?

The News Feed widget is a powerful little tool, that when added to your blog will automatically display what you are doing on social networks, that you have added to your BlogCatalog profile, and even more exciting as you use the News Feed widget your blog traffic will increase.

The News Feed comes in a range of different colors to match your blog and automatically displays your activity from a number of social networks including: Amazon Wish lists, BlogCatalog, Delicious, Digg, Facebook, Flickr, Last.fm, Multiply, MySpace, Sphinn, StumbleUpon, Twitter, YouTube, and more.

What makes that so cool?

It makes your social network data portable and it keeps your blog fresh, even when you are somewhere else. It also helps people see which networks you’re active in so they can connect to you on one or all of them. And if you don’t want them to see one, no problem. Just turn it off. It’s that easy.

What’s even better is that your friends can subscribe via RSS to your social activity so they know anytime you submit an article to Digg, StumbleUpon a great site, or post something new to your blog. It can even help some of your posts go viral because all of your BlogCatalog followers and your blog readers will be up to date on your activities.

In fact, you can promote your friend’s post too. Write a comment on Twitter with a link or favorite their YouTube video and then everyone within your network or who reads your blog will see it. The bottom line: it’s very dynamic and versatile tool because it’s one of the first cross social network solutions out there.

Many of you might be using your own personal computer with a paid internet connection. But some of us use public places like libraries, internet cafes to surf through the internet. As these places are public, there are certain things to consider when you surf the internet. I will describe them in this post.

The most important thing is confidentiality of your passwords. You will enter your passwords to various forms like email login, internet banking login, credit card login, PayPal login etc. you must not click YES when asked to remember the passwords by the web browser. Remember, the internet is not a safe place. There are many crooks waiting for your mistakes to benefit from them. Therefore never let the web browser to save your passwords.

Sometimes you might download confidential data and carry them with an external storage like a pen drive or an external hard drive. You must delete all the data stored in the computer before you leave the public internet place. Otherwise someone might benefit from them and it will harm your life. Don’t just send them to the “Recycle Bin”. Delete them from the Recycle Bin also.

You must also clear the cache, authenticated sessions, browsing history, cookies and saved passwords if there are any, of the web browser. Otherwise you might get into trouble as others can use these for their purposes which will harm your personality and living.

I hope that above mentioned things will keep you out of the troubles in the internet and your life. You must follow those when you use a public internet access place.

I found a very interesting SEO software while I was surfing through the internet. It is called the “SEO Elite”. I will explain its details in this post. If you are interested in buying a good and efficient SEO software to automate the hard SEO process which will reduce your time and money, I recommend this as a good one.

As I have explained you earlier, you must do a background study on any website which sells products online. Otherwise there is a great chance that you will lose your hardly earned money. Therefore first I checked its Google rank. It is 5/10 currently which is an indication of high traffic to the website normally at least few thousands per day. If this website is doing a fraud, they won’t have this much of traffic and a page rank. I also checked the website with Alexa.com and its rank is 16,167 which is a global rank, also indicating a high traffic website. Following is the traffic chart of SEO Elite from Alexa.com for the last 6 months.

Here’s a small extract from the product website. There are many explanations in the website. If you are interested, have a visit and explore yourself. I wish you good luck on your SEO work.

It’s a piece of cutting-edge technology powered by the cries of regular people just like you and me who were sick and tired of being kicked around the internet by their competition and the “big” SEO firms.

I say “big” because after I released this software to the world, a whole lot of things have changed online because…

Big SEO Firms Have Lost Their Iron Grip!

They no longer control the masses - they no longer control YOU.

…Because this incredible software has empowered the average person, any person, including you…to take command and control your internet traffic with just a few clicks of your mouse!

Many people around the globe are willing to create a website and eager to host it. Some people go for free hosting services like Geocities offered by Yahoo. Some buy a hosting package and host it. Most of us first try to host a website in a free hosting service and after monitoring the success of the website, we shift for a paid hosting service. In this post I would like to explain you about the free web hosting services.

The most important thing you must remember is that there are no charity oriented services in the internet. There are many free services. But these free service providers don’t offer a free service if they don’t receive an income from the service by some other way. Therefore you must not think that even though they are free, they don’t have commercial purposes. For an example, when you host a website in Geocities, you will see advertisements in your web pages added by Yahoo. Some free web hosting services don’t put advertisements in your web page. But they show an advertisement page, before your web site appears.

Another thing is that you won’t get a desired URL for your web address. For an example if you host with Geocities, you will get a URL like www.geocities.com/<your website name>. And you won’t get a domain name you like. There are space restrictions also. If you are hosting a commercial or professional website, I don’t recommend a free web hosting service. If you are hosting a website for an experimental purpose or just for fun, it is ok to host in free web hosting service.
